About The Position

The Literacy Tutor works with students in grades K–3 who have been identified as needing additional early literacy support. Students are served in small groups of five or fewer. The tutor works side by side with school reading specialists to help students improve early literacy skills, including phonemic awareness and fluency. The position reports to the Principal. Hours vary. This is a non-exempt, non-union position and is not eligible for remote work. Salary is $32.00 for non-licensed staff at Band 12 and $39.14 for licensed staff at Band 15.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to relate to children, teachers, and other school staff.
