About The Position

Prep Boston is a college-preparatory charter public district with a middle and high school serving approximately 700 students in grades 6-12. The majority of students and families reside in Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, and Hyde Park. As a charter public school, Prep Boston welcomes all students via an impartial public lottery and holds high expectations for all, including those with special needs and English language learners. The mission of Boston Prep is to prepare students for success in a four-year college and to embody lifelong ethical growth. The school fosters an environment structured around accelerating academic growth, with an extended school day and year. Relationships are central to the community, and an understanding of anti-racism is critical. The approach is guided by six essential beliefs: an exceptional adult team, high expectations for all students, fostering ethical growth, an invested student culture balanced by structure and joy, a range of academic, social, and emotional support, and ensuring college persistence through student and alumni support. The values of the One Team guide how they work together, emphasizing being mission-driven, acknowledging room for improvement, and recognizing that staff actions drive student results.
