About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Liquor Store General Manager 3A to lead the operations of our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store at Chester Pike in Havertown. As a General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the store while leading and developing a dedicated team. This position oversees store operations and staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment. The role includes leadership responsibilities that support store performance and team development. You will be a key leader, overseeing day-to-day activities, developing a high-performing team, and implementing strategies to exceed sales targets while maintaining a top-tier store environment.

Requirements

  • One year as a Liquor Store General Manager 2B (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Two years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 3 or a Liquor Store General Manager 2A (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Three years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1B (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Four years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Five years of supervisory retail sales work
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions
  • Pass a background investigation
  • No felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment

Responsibilities

  • Guide daily operations and support staff development to strengthen store performance
  • Direct hiring, scheduling, coaching, and work assignments for all store employees
  • Promote a welcoming environment and ensure strong service standards
  • Apply agency rules and maintain consistency in store processes and activities
  • Monitor stock levels, address inventory issues, and support product placement needs
  • Evaluate staff progress and provide instruction or feedback to improve results
