About The Position

The Beverage Steward helps customers explore wines and beers by assisting with product selection, answering questions, and sharing product insights and pairing suggestions. The role provides a welcoming and informative shopping experience, whether customers need a quick recommendation or a pairing for a meal or occasion.

The position maintains department conditions by stocking, rotating, and organizing products, keeping displays full and visually consistent, monitoring inventory, completing ordering tasks, and following merchandising plans and standards. It operates in a fast-paced retail environment where consistency, organization, and product awareness support department performance. The employee must comply with alcohol sales regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
• Able to communicate clearly with customers and provide accurate product information.
• Basic understanding of wine and beer categories and interest in learning product characteristics and pairings.
• Able to clearly convey product details, pricing, and promotional information.
• Attention to accuracy in pricing, labeling, product rotation, and presentation.
• Able to prioritize tasks, manage workflow, and maintain an orderly work area.
• Able to stock, rotate, and maintain inventory levels to meet demand.
• Able to communicate with vendors regarding ordering, product availability, and merchandising activities.
• Able to prepare and execute tasting events, promotions, and sampling activities.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift and move products up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and remain active throughout the shift.
