About The Position

The Lloydminster Co-op Southview Liquor Store is currently recruiting for a Part-time Liquor Store Clerk/Keyholder. Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include demonstrating alignment with Lloydminster Co-op Brand and Values of Integrity, Teamwork and Community, coming to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude, wearing the accepted Co-op uniform and Personal Protective Equipment as required, being dependable for all scheduled shifts, and meeting the expectations of internal and external customers. This role involves performing all tasks required in a liquor store including but not limited to: store opening and closing, cashier, stocking, receiving, preparing commercial and online orders, snow removal, cleaning and sanitizing. The position requires understanding products and services offered to promote sales, ordering, receiving and displaying merchandise as directed, operating the point-of-sale system and conducting financial transactions, operating manual and power mobile equipment, adhering to loss prevention policies, understanding and adhering to Lloydminster Co-op policies and procedures, particularly the Selling Age Restricted Items policy, and ensuring a neat, clean, and orderly location is maintained at all times. All duties as assigned will also be performed.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Have or willing to obtain Serve It Right Saskatchewan.
  • Must be strongly service-oriented and motivated, and capable of serving and assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Must be prepared to increase product knowledge and improve selling techniques through special courses, product clinics and training sessions.
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to fulfill physical job requirements including: lifting and carrying of 50-75 lbs. of force occasionally, 10-20 lbs. of force constantly, and the ability to climb ladders.
  • Must be able to work: mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
  • Grade 12 or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the liquor industry will be considered an asset.
  • Preference will be given to those who possess enhanced knowledge of wine, spirits and beer. (Writing a product knowledge test may be required to determine eligibility).
  • A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

  • Proficiently and safely operate the manual and power mobile equipment in the store.
  • Adhere to loss prevention policies and strategies.
  • Understand and adhere to Lloydminster Co-op policies and procedures, in particular adhering to the Selling Age Restricted Items policy.
  • Ensure that a neat, clean, and orderly location is maintained at all times.
  • Perform all duties as assigned.
