About The Position

The City of Elk River is seeking candidates for a fulltime Liquor Store Clerk position. The FT Liquor Store Clerk serves as a cashier and stock handler. This is a 40 hour/week position and eligible for benefits. Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
One-year retail cashier experience.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Knowledge of state and local liquor laws.
Skill in operating a cash register and 10-key calculator.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to quickly and accurately make change.
Ability to communicate with the public.
Ability to attend seminars and classes as directed.
Ability to work a variety of hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Ability to learn and operate computer based inventory management system.

Responsibilities

Performs cashier duties.
Rings up sales, receives payment, gives change, provides petty cash services.
Performs miscellaneous maintenance duties to maintain a clean store and orderly merchandise appearance.
Performs inventory management activities.
Moves merchandise and stock, unloads deliveries, moves stock to and from the storeroom; inspects and verifies incoming stock.
Stocks merchandise on shelves, in coolers and on displays.
Performs other Liquor Store duties.
Makes bank deposits.
Prepares daily cash reports.
Supervises Part-time Liquor Store Clerk employees in absence of Liquor Store Manager.
Performs other essential job duties.
Regular and timely work attendance.
Follows all safety procedures.
Participates in safety training.
