About The Position

The Lion's Pause Student Technicians are responsible for all technical aspects of the Lion's Pause, including running lights, audio, and managing other event needs and equipment. They are student employees who ensure the smooth technical operation of events and maintain the associated equipment.

  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in high pressure situations.

Responsibilities

  • Attend all tech scheduling meetings.
  • Learn proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Set up, run, and strike all events in the Lion's Pause and events using Pause equipment.
  • Work shifts as determined in scheduling meetings.
  • Work one band practice slot per week (per availability).
  • Observe all tech related bylaws and policy guidelines.
  • Continue to hone tech skills throughout the year by attending tech manager office hours, working shifts, and practicing during band slots or on own time.
  • Maintain communication with the tech managers regarding equipment, environmental, interpersonal, or other concerns.
