About The Position

The Lion’s Pause Kitchen Worker prepares a variety of foods, including pizza and milkshakes, maintains a clean and welcoming kitchen environment, handles customer payments, and may deliver food to students in campus residential halls. The position is a student employee role at St. Olaf College. Workers participate in a large team providing food service to the campus while also using initiative and independence.

Requirements

• Interest in working in the Pause kitchen as part of a large team to provide food service to the campus.
• Ability to function in an atmosphere that promotes teamwork, initiative, and independence.
• Ability to function in high-stress environments.
• Organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to safely perform the physical work required for all duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Clean shake and ice cream machines and ovens.
• Handle cash registers.
• Open and close the kitchen when needed.
• Complete and sign off on shift responsibilities.
• Prepare a variety of foods for customers.
• Maintain a clean kitchen.
• Handle and exchange money from customers.
• Deliver food to students in residential halls on campus, as needed.
