About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator – Quality Assurance to support Linux-based environments that enable mission-critical testing, validation, and operational readiness. As part of a multidisciplinary operations team, you will help maintain stable, secure, and repeatable Linux environments while supporting system administration, troubleshooting, automation, and day-to-day operational activities. Reliable Linux environments are essential to delivering dependable mission capabilities. As a Linux Systems Administrator – Quality Assurance, you will help ensure operational systems remain secure, stable, and ready to support testing and deployment activities. Your work directly contributes to maintaining high-quality computing environments that enable successful mission execution.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph, at time of Application, to be considered for the position.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Four (4) additional years of relevant system administration experience may be substituted for the required bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience supporting programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community or other national security missions.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, administer, and maintain Linux operating systems supporting enterprise IT environments.
  • Install and maintain operating system software while ensuring system integrity, reliability, and availability.
  • Configure and maintain network components supporting Linux environments.
  • Manage daily Linux system configuration and operational activities.
  • Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for enterprise IT systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 Help Desk incidents involving Linux systems and associated hardware.
  • Support hardware troubleshooting efforts and remain engaged through issue resolution.
  • Communicate issue status and operational updates to management and internal customers.
  • Develop Bash shell scripts that improve system stability and deployment repeatability.
  • Support operating system enhancements that improve reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with system capacity analysis and resource utilization activities.
  • Monitor Linux environments to identify opportunities for improved operational stability.
  • Analyze escalated operational issues and provide technical feedback to management and customers.
  • Support continuous improvement of Linux operational processes.
  • Assist in maintaining reliable Linux environments supporting testing and validation activities.
  • Contribute to overall operational readiness across enterprise Linux platforms.
