About The Position

The Linguistic QA Tester proofreads and edits content localized into Czech, checking for issues such as grammar, typos, syntax, punctuation, capitalization, political incorrectness, inconsistencies, and extra spaces. The role may also involve translating content from English into Czech and checking user interfaces for functional issues. The tester follows project instructions and test cases, evaluates translations in software, mobile apps, and documentation, and reports defects through client-specific tools. The position requires strong Czech language and cultural knowledge, English skills, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to complete assigned work accurately and on time. Requirements

Native-level or fully bilingual fluency in Czech, spoken and written.
Strong written and verbal English skills.
Up-to-date awareness of current and common technical language usage in Czech.
Experience with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to navigate networks and websites using different browsers.
Basic knowledge of desktop and laptop PC hardware.
Basic knowledge of smartphones, including iPhone or Android.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Strong organization, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Proofread and edit localized Czech content for linguistic errors and inconsistencies.
Translate content from English into Czech when needed.
Check user interfaces for functional issues.
Write and report relevant bugs and errors using the internal database system and client-specific bug-tracking tools.
Prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently.
Perform QA on products by following testing instructions and test cases accurately.
Evaluate translations in the context of software, mobile apps, and documentation.
Research and resolve linguistic questions as a subject matter expert for Czech-language issues.
Follow project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, checklists, and glossaries.
Troubleshoot basic problems, communicate effectively, and escalate testing issues.
Complete assigned tasks with quality and within the required time.
Establish and develop processes and procedures as part of a client program.
Take ownership of deliverables and apply time-management and Plan-Do-Check-Act approaches to tasks.
