About The Position

The Linen Technician supports the housekeeping team by processing, distributing, and collecting linen throughout Bon Secours West Hospital. The role helps provide quality linen and maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients. The position is full-time, pays $15 per hour, and has day, evening, and night shifts available. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States.

Requirements

Must be at least 17 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
Be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
Be able to push and pull carts or equipment weighing over 100 pounds on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift.
Be able to operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Housekeeping experience, including cleaning, environmental services, custodial or janitorial work, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare, or laundry experience.
Veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Fill and deliver clean linen carts daily to established par levels and record data.
Collect soiled linen and deliver it to a designated pick-up area.
Record linen usage and maintain accurate inventory records.
Ensure linen quality is satisfactory and report quality issues.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
Follow all HHS linen procedures and best practices.
Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital.
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
