About The Position

Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a Full-time Linen Services Worker for the Night shift. This role involves exchanging and delivering linen carts throughout the hospital, filling and emptying scrub machines, and requires constant walking and pulling of carts. The position is benefits-eligible and operates on a 40-hour work week with rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Requires considerable walking and standing.
• Involves a wide range of body movements including stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling.
• Must be able to move carts weighing up to 700 pounds.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• Able to read and write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to scan, read, interpret linen data and access computer files.

Responsibilities

• Exchanging linen carts weighing up to 200 lbs. throughout all hospital units.
• Delivering bulk linen carts weighing up to 500 lbs. to certain units.
• Filling and emptying scrub EX machines for physicians and OR teammates.
• Constant walking and pulling of linen carts throughout the shift.
• Maintains work area in a neat, orderly and efficient manner.
• Demonstrates correct procedure including safety in handling linen items.
• Reads, accesses and interprets linen data.
• Operates hand held scanner and computer.
• Maintains a courteous and professional manner at all times.
• Resolves fill rate issues for facilities.
