About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Finished Goods Handler (Lineman) to join their team at the Broadway facility in Hanover, PA. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient production by supporting packaging operations, managing inventory, and coordinating trailers. It's ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, enjoys staying active, and wants to be part of a team that ensures products move smoothly from production to the warehouse.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized throughout the shift
  • Comfortable performing physical work and lifting up to 80 lbs regularly
  • Willingness to learn equipment, inventory systems, and production processes
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  • Flexibility to support operational needs and changing priorities
  • Requires basic math and reading skills.
  • The ability to prioritize workload to satisfy all production requirements.
  • Requires the ability to operate a hand jack and life up to 45 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, forklift, or production experience is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of types and locations of products and truck loading procedures acquired through on the job training.
  • Requires a forklift operator’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Move finished product throughout the facility and warehouse areas
  • Pull orders and assist with loading trailers for shipment
  • Coordinate trailer movement with local and surrounding facilities
  • Pack products into cartons, cans, and specialized containers
  • Deliver materials and supplies to production lines as needed
  • Place cardboard skids at packing stations and work areas
  • Transport packed product to warehouse locations using hand jacks
  • Scan finished products into inventory using scanning equipment
  • Record waste and production information at the end of each shift
  • Set up and operate barrel labeling equipment
  • Support production operations and assist with additional tasks as assigned
  • Follow all safety standards and immediately report safety concerns
