Line Wirer - Jefferson City, MO
About The Position
Modine is seeking a Line Wirer to join its manufacturing team producing chillers for data centers. The role assembles, wires, and tests electrical control panels using schematics, diagrams, and engineering specifications. The ideal candidate has electrical wiring experience, strong attention to detail, and can work in a fast-paced production environment. The position is onsite in Jefferson City, Missouri. Available schedules are Monday through Friday, with first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Mandatory Saturday overtime is required. Base pay is $27.91, with a $5.00 shift differential for second and third shifts.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling, for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, including proper handling of gases and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to assemble control panels.
- Perform point-to-point wiring and install components, including circuit breakers, relays, power supplies, and PLCs.
- Route and secure wiring neatly to support proper function and comply with safety standards.
- Conduct quality checks and functional testing of panels before final installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve wiring or component issues to ensure proper operation.
- Work with engineers, technicians, and assembly teams to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols and company standards.
