About The Position

Kendall Ford is seeking Ford Certified Service Technicians to join their growing team in Marysville. They are looking for Automotive Technicians / Mechanics of all skill levels. The role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and identifying necessary work on vehicles, performing adjustments, replenishing fluids, disassembling/reassembling components, and repairing/replacing parts. Technicians will use independent judgment, document work according to policies, and road test vehicles. The work is performed indoors in a shop environment, requiring the use of mechanic's tools, and involves standing, walking, pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling. Lifting, pushing, and pulling weights of 20 to 100 pounds may be required.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Service Technician or mechanical experience at a dealership or large independent shop.
  • Ford Certification
  • B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Able to operate a wide variety of both automatic and manual transmission
  • Able to drive various vehicles including cars, trucks, and vans, including hybrid models

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred
  • Previous experience working with luxury vehicles is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting, diagnosing, and identifying work that needs to be completed on various vehicles.
  • Performing adjustments and calibrations.
  • Replenishing fluids.
  • Disassembling and reassembling vehicle components.
  • Repairing or replacing parts.
  • Using independent judgment to make decisions.
  • Documenting all work and hours per manufacturer and Kendall policies.
  • Road testing all vehicles to ensure quality of work and issues resolution.
