About The Position

Kendall Auto Group is seeking a Service Porter to join their Ford Team. This role involves driving customer vehicles safely to and from the dealership and service centers, interacting with customers as the friendly face of the dealership, performing quick walk-around checks of vehicles, using GPS and scheduling apps for route planning, and coordinating with service advisors and technicians. The position requires working both indoors and outdoors in a shop environment, greeting customers, and involves standing and walking for up to 75% of the work shift, with bending, twisting, and kneeling primarily for entering and exiting vehicles. Requirements

• Capacity to operate a wide variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, and vans, including hybrid models.
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission.
• Good, clean driving record and valid driver license.
• Comfortable using smartphones, mobile apps, and GPS tools.
• Polite, clear, and professional communication habits.
• Able to step in and out of various vehicles frequently throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Drive customer vehicles safely to and from the dealership and service centers.
• Act as the friendly face of the dealership, confirming service needs and handing keys back securely.
• Perform quick walk-around checks to note any pre-existing damage or condition details.
• Use GPS and scheduling apps to manage timely arrivals.
• Coordinate handoffs smoothly with service advisors and technicians.
