About The Position

The Line Tech I supports Forbes Bros. Group of Companies' construction operations by assisting with the installation and construction of overhead distribution and transmission powerlines. The role works alongside experienced line crews to support structure assembly, framing, conductor stringing, equipment operations, and right-of-way activities while following established safety procedures and construction requirements. This opportunity is intended for a recent graduate of an accredited line school seeking to apply technical knowledge and gain hands-on experience in powerline construction. The employee will gain practical exposure to distribution and transmission projects, work with experienced crew members, and continue developing skills for a career in the powerline industry. The position is 100% on-site and field-based, with location determined by project assignment. Travel to construction sites and project locations is required as needed. Overtime and weekend work may be required by project schedules and operational needs.

Requirements

Recent graduate of an accredited line school.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located and maintain valid work authorization throughout employment.

Responsibilities

Assist with constructing new overhead distribution and transmission powerlines throughout the various phases of construction, working alongside experienced line crews and following established work procedures.
Support the framing and assembly of wood and steel structures, including installing components and materials used in distribution and transmission powerline construction.
Assist with assembling and erecting lattice steel structures for overhead transmission lines in accordance with construction plans and project requirements.
Participate in overhead conductor stringing activities, including material preparation, equipment setup, and supporting crews throughout installation.
