About The Position

A Production Supervisor oversees equipment, staff, and processes on the production floor. The role manages the production team and oversees scheduling and day-to-day production activities, ensuring that the production line remains operational and products continue to be produced. The supervisor also troubleshoots issues that arise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to create and adhere to effective schedules.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods on solid surfaces.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Firm understanding of safety regulations, including OSHA, SARA, and HAZWOPER.
• Ability to read a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
• Ability to complete written reports legibly and accurately.
• Strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing and shipping processes and procedures in factory production operations.
• Evaluate each station in the production process to maintain optimum efficiency.
• Enforce all safety policies on the production floor.
• Create and oversee employee training to increase production, enhance safe operations, and ensure profitability.
• Inspect products for quality and accuracy prior to shipping.
• Maintain communication between management and employees to ensure necessary policies are understood and followed.
• Ensure the flow of resources such as raw materials is maintained, and production items are delivered as needed and used properly and efficiently.
