About The Position
The Front Line Supervisor supervises Package Handlers and trains, develops, and holds workgroups responsible for safety, production, and attendance. The position sets and maintains high standards for productivity, accuracy, customer service, organization, communication, cooperation, and safety. It provides innovative and effective leadership and cultivates working relationships with personnel throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 70 lbs. / 32 kgs.
- Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent.
- Management experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure employees follow safety policies and procedures and operate in compliance with department, station, corporate, and OSHA requirements.
- Manage department resources to maximize output, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Establish and promote a positive, team-oriented work environment emphasizing employee involvement, proactive communication, interdepartmental cooperation, and continual improvement.
- Implement employee personal development plans as required to support ongoing professional growth.
- Ensure employees receive orientation, skills and safety training, appropriate materials and information, regular evaluations, and proactive coaching.
- Train and develop Package Handlers and hold workgroups accountable for safety, production, and attendance.
