About the position
The Line Producer is responsible for overseeing the schedule, budget, and resources for a project in a pre-production animation studio. They lead the production process, ensuring the successful delivery of animation tests, episodes, and creative development work. The Line Producer collaborates with creative executives and recruitment to hire artistic resources, communicates with external production studios, and manages the production schedule. This role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in animation production and knowledge of various animation techniques. Strong organizational, communication, and evaluation skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Understand the creative goals of the show and balance the pressures of the production, creative vision, schedule, and budget.
- Partner with the Creative Executives and Recruitment to hire artistic resources.
- Assemble reference materials, scripts, treatments, and other creative write-ups to pass along to artists and other staff.
- Communicate clearly and facilitate the flow of information up (to Production Executives) and out (to the external production studio).
- Liaison with the production studio doing the work – provide them with materials, access to key creative talent, and other resources they will need to complete the work.
- Communicate the production schedule to the external production company and manage any changes to that schedule.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Animation Production
- Proven ability to evaluate the creative talent of individual artists and production companies, including evaluating artwork, digital media, and technical capabilities
- Strong customer service, consultative, and partnering skills
- Knowledge of 2D Animation, CG Animation, Visual Effects, and/or Video game production
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and writing skills
