Line / Prep Cook - Full Time Hemingford Care Center, Hemingford, NE Hemingford is currently seeking a Full-Time Line / Prep Cook to join our dietary services team. Requirements

  • One year of cooking experience in a high-volume or institutional setting preferred
  • Food Handler's Permit required (or ability to obtain)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to assist and guide dietary aides as needed
  • Positive attitude with a focus on respectful, efficient service
  • Desire to learn, grow, and develop within a healthcare culinary environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes
  • Support timely meal service for residents, including special and modified diets
  • Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Receive, store, and rotate food deliveries according to food safety standards
  • Monitor food storage areas for proper temperatures, cleanliness, and organization
  • Assist with routine kitchen inspections and regulatory compliance as needed
  • Help test and prepare new recipes when requested
  • Provide guidance and support to cook aides and dish aides as needed
