About The Position

If you love working with great ingredients, moving with purpose, and being part of a team that takes pride in what hits the plate, we’d love to meet you. As a Prep & Line Cook, you’ll play a key role in bringing our menu to life—preparing ingredients, executing dishes, and helping keep our kitchen running clean, organized, and efficient. This role follows established recipes, portions, and procedures while maintaining high standards for sanitation, safety, and personal hygiene. You’ll also help ensure we’re using our supplies and equipment responsibly to minimize waste and maximize quality.

Requirements

  • Ability to regularly stand and walk for eight to ten hours; climb stairs repetitively throughout a shift; occasionally sit, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to consistently reach shoulder level, above head, and below waist; push, pull, lift, and carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds (including up flights of stairs), and occasionally lift more than fifty (50) pounds
  • Comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels, temperature changes (heat/cold), water exposure, and cleaning materials
  • Basic understanding of the English language, writing skills, and basic mathematics
  • Education and experience are not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste.
  • Complete meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients; verifying doneness and taste; assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
  • Organize and label all ingredients on shelves so they are neat and easily accessible.
  • Present meals by placing and arranging hot and cold elements using appropriate diningware.
  • Control costs by adhering to recipes and following preparation standards.
  • Maintain a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment. Utilize low-volume hours to prep and clean.
  • Maintain supply inventory by checking stock; monitor inventory levels and notify the Executive Chef of necessary restocking.
  • Cooperate with coworkers to ensure smooth operation and maximum efficiency.
  • Maintain or exceed standards of personal appearance, grooming, cleanliness, and hygiene, including wearing proper uniform at all times while working.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive or Sous Chefs.
