About The Position

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join their Digital Product Creation program. This role will support merchandising and design teams in bringing products from concept to physical garment. The position is ideal for someone interested in the intersection of physical products and the digital tools used in their creation. The focus will be on line planning and design, aiming to improve collaboration within product creation teams to determine which products to offer to customers. The Senior Product Manager will lead a suite of tools and capabilities end-to-end, defining the vision and translating it into digital capabilities for the teams using these tools. This role involves working across operations and with other Digital Product Managers, offering opportunities for growth as a product leader. It is an individual contributor role, and experience in line planning, merchandising, design, product creation, retail, and apparel is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in product management, math, statistics, engineering, computer science or other quantitative fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management.
  • Preference for experience in both new build and 3rd party vendor platforms.
  • Comfortable from discovery through adoption.
  • Clear documentation of user journeys, epics and requirements.
  • Experience using data and insights to inform product development.
  • Ability to summarize insights and lead with a clear recommendation.
  • Track record in product discovery and rallying teams.
  • Curious about the industry and the craft.
  • Follow what other retailers are doing and how technologies are evolving and bring ideas back.
  • Promote collaboration and new ideas across geographical and cultural boundaries.
  • Experience communicating product updates, milestones, and progress to a variety of audiences at all levels, across multiple departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in line planning, merchandising, design, or product creation is ideal.
  • Any background in retail and apparel is ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Define and promote a vision for the future of Line planning and Design.
  • Lead the product strategy to rewire how we work from line plan to sketching, and how both connect to merch, PD, and downstream systems.
  • Motivate and inspire partners, other PMs, and the technical team around the vision and promote these benefits and motivate partners around why it matters.
  • Manage a suite of tools and capabilities that support Global Merch and Design end to end.
  • Translate the vision into use cases, requirements, and user stories.
  • Manage the full spectrum of product development, using prototypes and MVPs to test assumptions and refine direction based on user engagement.
  • Collect and summarize data to be data informed and comfortable leading with recommendations.
  • Use experimentation to take data, define a hypothesis, and run a test to learn what works and does not work for our fans and our business.
  • Work with partners and operations to document current-state processes, identify opportunities for rewiring, and guide process change and adoption.
  • Establish the right OKRs and analytics strategy to shape insights.
  • Monitor success of goals on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Manage a dynamic product backlog – prioritize new ideas, enhancement requests from users, competitive analysis, and engagement data for your product.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors, communicating product updates, milestones, and progress.
  • Influence the vendor roadmap to prioritize enhancements or new capabilities.
  • Make difficult tradeoffs of using out-of-the-box functionality or customizing the platform based on our needs.
  • Support product releases and lead rollout and adoption with business operations teams.
  • Communicate and launch changes to users, understanding ways of working and needs.
  • Keep a pulse on the industry by conducting competitive analysis and evaluating other retailers.
  • Stay informed on the industry and evolving technologies in line planning and design to inform future direction.
  • Be a leader and contributor to the product organization by sharing better ways of working, mentoring, and helping to level up the team.
