About The Position

The primary purpose of this role is to monitor and maintain the quality of all products produced at RMA Manchester in accordance with Quality, Laboratory, Environmental and Safety systems while providing excellent support to production. This role requires the ability to interact with management and production to accommodate testing and quality needs, while providing excellent customer service. The operator will run sample products on lab extruders and molders, analyze colors through spectrophotometer and perform color correction using applicable pigment. They must be able to recognize non-conforming products and reject according to procedure, and know product lines and customer specifications. The role also involves preparing customer certifications, entering SPC data, supporting manufacturing with re-work, formulation, SPC reaction plan adjustments, and SOC changes. Following all Quality, Safety, and Environmental Procedures, and upholding the Ravago Code of Conduct standards are essential. Other duties may be assigned by the Lab Manager.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Good verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to operate a fork truck.
  • Comfortable working with both English and Metric systems.
  • Basic concepts of algebra and perform proportions, percentages and calculations.
  • Practical and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs.
  • Ability to climb straight incline ladders.
  • Use of fingers and hands for writing and typing.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
  • Comfortable working in a non-climate controlled environment.

Responsibilities
