About The Position

The primary purpose of this role is to monitor and maintain the quality of all products produced at RMA Manchester in accordance with Quality, Laboratory, Environmental and Safety systems while providing excellent support to production. Performance must reflect the appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.

Requirements

  • Must have High School diploma or of equivalent value.
  • Must have good verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Must have excellent time management skills.
  • Must have computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Required to work comfortably with Microsoft Office, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Required to work comfortably with both English and Metric systems.
  • Required to know basic concepts of algebra and perform proportions, percentages and calculations.
  • Practical and analytical abilities while able to multi-task.
  • Ability to operate a fork truck.
  • Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
  • Must be comfortable working in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb straight incline ladders.
  • Must have use of fingers and hands for writing and typing.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with management and production to accommodate testing and quality needs, while providing excellent customer service.
  • Run sample products on lab extruders and molders.
  • Analysis of colors through spectrophotometer and color correction through the use of applicable pigment.
  • Recognize non-conforming products and reject according to procedure.
  • Know product lines and the customer's specifications.
  • Maintain/improve laboratory cleanliness and origination.
  • Perform laboratory equipment preventative maintenance and verification.
  • Train, coach, assist and verify manufacturing personnel to be able to properly perform in-process product inspections.
  • Prepare customer certifications and enter SPC data from on-line and off-line testing.
  • Support manufacturing by assisting with re-work, formulation, SPC reactions plan adjustments and SOC changes as necessary to produce product within specifications.
  • Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
  • Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Lab Manager.
