About The Position

The Line Loader supports the activities and responsibilities of the Paint Room in a manufacturing environment. The role loads products onto the paint line and coordinates with coworkers to ensure appropriate spacing, communicate colors and staple issues, and make room for parts removed for quality inspection. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols and work procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The employee may be assigned additional job-related duties by the manager.

Requirements

• Experience loading and stacking products.
• Team-oriented, interactive, and strong communication skills.
• Self-starter who works well under pressure and can follow daily work assignments.
• Ability to stay on task and follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to hang products efficiently and rapidly and to double-hang components.
• Knowledge of all colors and wood species or types.
• Loading knowledge.
• Willingness to learn new ways to enhance productivity.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
• Ability to endure extreme summer heat.
• Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear clearly.
• Frequently bend, lift, stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Frequently lift products weighing 30–60 pounds.
• Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Load products onto the paint line while keeping space between parts.
• Communicate with the Lead Person or Supervisor about product spacing and staple issues.
• Communicate with the Stapler about colors going onto the lines.
• Communicate with the Inspector about the space needed to re-hang parts removed by quality.
• Assist coworkers as needed.
• Follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.
• Hang products efficiently and rapidly, including double-hanging components.
