About The Position

Lead the activities of an assigned group of production people focused on achieving daily objectives in alignment with Novae’s Mission and Manufacturing Goals, enabling those people to be great at what they do and proud of what they have done.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by modeling safe work methods, requiring safe work practices, identifying and correcting unsafe habits, and inspecting/auditing for improved safety.
  • Exhibit cleanliness and organization in the work area by modeling standards, participating in their creation, maintaining them, and inspecting for non-compliance.
  • Consistently meet and exceed quality expectations by leading inspections, conducting audits, addressing findings with the team, demonstrating proper handling of scrap and parts, and confirming proper recording of quality findings.
  • Demonstrate responsibility for work area productivity by understanding and committing to daily targets, coaching team members, maintaining awareness of needs, collaborating to achieve goals, and reviewing results for improvement opportunities.
  • Support the development of people by prioritizing training, providing performance feedback, and building the team through coaching and mentorship.
  • Lead daily huddles to review team progress and pursue continuous improvement.
  • Ensure regular and ongoing communication with supervision, recommending celebrations and escalating concerns.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to determine root cause, make recommendations, and elevate needs quickly for rapid resolution.
  • Provide servant leadership in alignment with Novae’s Guiding Questions.
  • Assist in other areas and perform other duties, as needed.
