About The Position

The Line Lead at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a production line to ensure efficient operations, adherence to quality standards, and timely completion of production targets. This role involves leading a team of operators, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and production schedules.
  • Proficiency in using basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and overtime, as required.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established procedures, quality specifications, and production schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and material flow problems promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of products to ensure they meet Jabil's high standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including output, scrap rates, and downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to optimize production processes and address systemic issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Train new operators on line procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Communicate production status, concerns, and achievements to management.
