About The Position

The Line Lead I is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of a production line, ensuring efficient operation, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with some leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong understanding of production processes and quality control principles.
Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instructions.
Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a small team of production operators, providing guidance and support.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to line personnel to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
Identify and resolve production issues, escalating complex problems to higher management as needed.
Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of products throughout the production cycle.
Ensure all safety procedures and guidelines are followed by line personnel.
Train new team members on production processes, safety protocols, and company policies.
Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and quality data.
Communicate production status, issues, and achievements to supervisors and other relevant departments.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance line efficiency and productivity.
Operate production equipment and machinery as required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
