The Line Lead I is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of a production line, ensuring efficient operation, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with some leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and quality control principles.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instructions.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a small team of production operators, providing guidance and support.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to line personnel to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Identify and resolve production issues, escalating complex problems to higher management as needed.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of products throughout the production cycle.
  • Ensure all safety procedures and guidelines are followed by line personnel.
  • Train new team members on production processes, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and quality data.
  • Communicate production status, issues, and achievements to supervisors and other relevant departments.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance line efficiency and productivity.
  • Operate production equipment and machinery as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
