About The Position

The Line Lead I is responsible for receiving shift assignments and performing regular duties as directed by the Production Supervisor and/or production schedules. This role involves accurately assembling subassemblies and finished products safely and efficiently. The Line Lead I must communicate production issues that may impact delivery timelines or product quality to the Production Supervisor. They will utilize various power and hand tools for assembly and testing, demonstrate expert-level knowledge of all equipment and products on the production line, and maintain effective communication to promote positive employee morale. Additionally, this role requires organizing work areas, maintaining housekeeping, training new employees, and addressing minor employee concerns and conflicts professionally.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have valid authorization to work in the United States issued by the Department of Homeland Security.
  • Minimum of 90 days of service required.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English, and to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to count and sort accurately.
  • Ability to interact and communicate respectfully with coworkers and management.
  • Ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to control the operation of hand and/or foot controls.
  • Ability to frequently turn wrists in a repetitive manner.

Responsibilities

  • Receive shift assignments and regular duties as directed by the Production Supervisor and/or production schedules.
  • Accurately assemble subassemblies and finished products in a safe and timely manner.
  • Communicate production issues within the scope of assigned responsibilities that may impact delivery timelines or product quality to the Production Supervisor.
  • Utilize a variety of power and hand tools, including screwdrivers, torque drivers, epoxy/glue dispensers, light bench-top machinery, and programming and calibration equipment, to support assembly and testing operations.
  • Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of all equipment and products assigned to the production line.
  • Maintain effective communication with all employees to promote positive employee morale.
  • Organize work areas before, during, and after assignments; maintain general housekeeping and workstation organization.
  • Train new employees as required.
  • Address minor employee concerns and conflicts in a professional manner.
