About The Position

Pequod's Pizza Chicago is seeking dedicated and reliable kitchen team members for its high-volume pizzeria. The Line Cook helps ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely preparation of guest orders, preparing appetizers, salads, pasta, sandwiches, and pizzas while maintaining clean, sanitary, and well-stocked stations. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Requirements

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards and attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills and the ability to collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Food Handlers certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to providing exceptional food for guests.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, following established recipes and standards to ensure quality and consistency.
• Operate kitchen equipment, including ovens and mixers, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by washing utensils, equipment, and appliances; sanitizing surfaces; and storing ingredients properly.
• Monitor food supplies and replenish stock as needed, particularly during peak dining hours.
• Follow food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to fulfill orders accurately and on time.
• Communicate with management and team members to prioritize tasks, coordinate workflow, and complete work on schedule.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining inventory levels.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to uphold food quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
