About The Position

Himes Breakfast House is hiring a Line Cook for its Brandon, Florida location. The role supports the restaurant’s breakfast service by preparing menu items, sauces, and sides to recipe and presentation standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen station. The kitchen is described as fast-paced, professional, and team-oriented. The position offers daytime hours, with nights and Mondays off, and flexible scheduling. The restaurant provides training and opportunities for career development and advancement into roles such as Trainer, Key Hourly, or Manager. The job is offered as full-time or part-time.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous kitchen experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and sanitize the prep area according to Himes standards before the shift.
Review prep sheets and stock levels to ensure the station is ready.
Rotate products, label them accurately, and discard expired items.
Prepare menu items, sauces, and sides according to Himes recipes and presentation specifications.
Follow portioning and quality standards consistently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient station during service.
Collaborate with the dish and utility team to support kitchen operations.
Record waste and temperature logs accurately and consistently.
Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools, and equipment at the end of the shift.
Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and daily closing duties.
Pull and rotate frozen product for next-day preparation.
Check out with a Manager and complete assigned closing tasks before leaving.
