About The Position

Europa Village is a one of a kind Wine Country destination offering an Old World European experience where service is gracious and unlimited. Everything viewed, touched and crafted will reflect an unsurpassed level of authenticity that speaks to our theme. Bolero Restaurante at Europa Village takes our guests on a culinary journey throughout the country of Spain. Our menu celebrates the centuries old tradition of dining together, tapas style. Tapas are prepared typically in bite size offerings and made to be shared. Europa Village is looking for a full-time Restaurant Line Cook. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking with an out-going, self-motivated and energetic personality. Fine dining experience is a plus. Minimum of two years Line Cook experience is a must.

  • Arrive at work prepared, with excellent personal presentation, clean and ironed uniform, and appropriate pants, socks, and footwear.
  • Arrive at work on time and adhere to attendance and punctuality policies.
  • Comply with Europa Village policies and procedures.
  • Maintain constant attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, clean, and organize workstations.
  • Prepare menu items following recipes and according to Bolero standards at Europa Village.
  • Make food adjustments to accommodate guests with allergies or specific dietary needs.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of all menus, recipes, food quality standards, and regulations.
  • Ensure all ingredients and supplies are available at the start of each shift.
  • Receive orders from service staff or via the computerized system.
  • Ability to handle multiple food orders at the same time.
  • Oversee multiple food orders as new orders come in.
  • Cook and prepare dishes according to specific guest instructions.
  • Ensure high-quality food is served at all times.
  • Adhere to portion size accuracy and quality standards.
  • Ensure each guest order includes the correct food and side items.
  • Ensure food prepared for a table leaves the kitchen simultaneously and with high quality.
  • Ensure all food is stored properly in the correct containers.
  • Ensure all food is stored at the proper temperatures.
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
  • Observe and taste foods during cooking by taste, smell, and checking with a fork to ensure they are fully cooked.
  • Cut meats, portion food onto plates for serving, and add sauces or gravies as needed.
  • Garnish foods with accuracy according to recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Follow all food handling, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Assist in keeping designated stations, freezers, refrigerators, and food storage areas stocked daily.
  • Follow proper food rotation system and assist in managing food inventory on a regular basis.
  • Request food and supplies when levels are low.
  • Ensure the kitchen area remains clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.
  • Ensure equipment and appliances are cleaned, sanitized, and properly maintained.
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work at a fast pace so food is served in a timely manner.
  • Possess a high ability to multitask and oversee multiple foods cooking at the same time.
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities.
