About The Position
Line Cooks work across back-of-house kitchen stations to prepare menu items with consistency, speed, and care. The role is part of a fast-moving kitchen team where food quality and teamwork are equally important. Team Members receive a starting rate of $12.00–$14.00 per hour based on experience, with pooled tips that regularly add $3.50 or more per hour to take-home pay; tip amounts vary and are not guaranteed. Flexible schedules are offered. Full-time Team Members can access medical, dental, and vision benefits after one year of employment, and a 401(k) after six months. Team Members also receive a Damn Good food discount card for themselves and their spouse.
Requirements
- Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification; obtain required certification by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.
- Ability to work varied schedules and hours based on the restaurant’s needs.
- Ability to stand for several hours.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various height levels.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

- Previous kitchen experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare menu items according to Torchy's recipes, specifications, and portioning standards.
- Set up, operate, and break down the assigned station, keeping it clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift.
- Follow food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Execute orders with urgency and accuracy, maintaining pace during high-volume periods without sacrificing quality.
- Communicate clearly and work closely with kitchen team members to keep the line running smoothly and guests taken care of.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
