About The Position

Parma Tavern is seeking experienced Line Cooks to join our Back-of-House team. We are looking for dependable, hardworking kitchen professionals who can perform under pressure while maintaining quality, speed, cleanliness, and teamwork. Parma Tavern is a neighborhood gathering place built around great food, great drinks, and genuine hospitality. Our menu features Italian-inspired tavern favorites, including stone oven pizzas cooked in a 600-degree brick oven, fresh pastas with made-from-scratch sauces, house-ground burgers, shareable small plates, and seasonal features. Our lively atmosphere, late-night service, and high-volume kitchen create an exciting environment for cooks who enjoy working hard, learning new skills, and being part of a professional kitchen team.

Requirements

  • Previous line cook, sauté cook, grill cook, or pizza cook experience required
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high-volume, full-service restaurants strongly preferred
  • Late-night availability strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Work assigned stations during service while maintaining speed and accuracy
  • Complete station setup and stocking before service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout each shift
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Communicate effectively with fellow cooks, chefs, and management
  • Support fellow team members during busy service periods
  • Complete kitchen closing duties and station breakdowns
