About The Position

National Star Services, a trusted facility management company with over 28 years of nationwide success, is hiring Cooks for its location in Des Plaines, Illinois. The role involves preparing food in large quantities according to standardized recipes while meeting food quality, presentation, and portion standards. Cooks maintain food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements; safely operate commercial kitchen equipment; assist with inventory management and waste reduction; and keep workstations clean, organized, and ready for production. They work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.

The schedule covers Monday through Sunday, with two days off per week. The supervisor provides the schedule. Available shifts are 10:00 AM–7:30 PM and 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. Pay is $18.55 per hour, paid biweekly.

Requirements

• Provide two valid forms of ID.
• Be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Have previous cooking experience.
• Wear slip-resistant shoes.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Be available to start immediately.
