About The Position

The Line Cook prepares à la carte food items for Room Service, ensuring all specifications and standards are met. The role involves preparing and cooking food for guests, maintaining excellent kitchen hygiene and sanitation, and delivering a dining experience that surprises and delights guests. The position pays $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Possess superior food knowledge.
• Be familiar with cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Be a team player and work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
• Work independently.
• Sit and/or stand for long periods of time, with a minimum duration of four hours.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency while performing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Maneuver throughout all areas of the casino, moving between floors by stairways of at least 20 steps or by escalator.
• Lift, carry, and/or push a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects, and use the manual dexterity needed to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
• Tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
• Work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of two years of line experience in the high-volume restaurant industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare à la carte food items and ensure all specifications and standards are met.
• Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene and sanitary conditions at all times.
• Help ensure the venue’s product and dining experience surprise and delight guests.
• Follow standardized recipes to ensure accurate food orders.
• Prepare and cook food for guests.
• Complete pre-shift work and break down stations after closing according to the open/close checklist.
• Comply with regulatory requirements, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
