About The Position

This role is ideal for experienced cooks who thrive in high-volume kitchens and are passionate about delivering high-quality, flavorful, and visually appealing dishes. As a Cook 2, you’ll play a key role in food preparation and execution, working under the direction of the Sous Chef to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in the kitchen.

Requirements

Ability to read and follow recipes
Food Safety Certification
ServSafe Certification
Proficiency in cooking techniques including charbroiling, sautéing, frying, roasting, griddling, and poaching
2+ years of experience as a broiler or sauté cook in a high-end, high-volume restaurant

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food using advanced techniques (charbroil, sauté, fry, roast, griddle, poach, and more)
Monitor food quality and ensure all dishes meet presentation standards
Prepare ingredients (wash, chop, slice, peel, etc.)
Follow standardized recipes and preparation methods
Taste and garnish dishes prior to service
Control waste through proper portioning and production levels
Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and temperature standards
Support kitchen operations including setup, service, and cleanup
Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Rotate inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste
