About The Position

Rock & Brews is seeking a Full Time Line Cook to join their team at Indigo Sky Casino in Wyandotte, OK. The Line Cook will be responsible for cooking all foods on the Ala Carte line for each station, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This role involves plating and garnishing cooked foods to ensure quality and consistency, carving meats, preparing omelets on the buffet line, and working all stations on a rotation basis. The Line Cook must maintain open communication with team members and management, create a positive guest experience, and execute all food production as determined by production sheets. Responsibilities also include maintaining food quality specifications, minimizing waste, ensuring cleanliness of the work area and walk-in cooler, rotating products for freshness, and maintaining stocked stations.

  • Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license.
  • Will be required to obtain Food Handlers permit and Serve Safe Certification.
  • Ability to maneuver in the casino, visual acuity to observe and react to handle customer questions and complaints.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for 7 1/2 hours per day.
  • Have good dexterity in fingers, to be able to hold and manipulate product or machinery.
  • Able to work in hot and cold temperature extremes.
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs and push or pull a flatbed cart weighing up to 300lbs.
  • Must be able to stretch, bend, kneel, twist and reach.
  • Must be able to taste, feel, smell, see and be able to read, write and speak basic English

Responsibilities

  • Cook all foods on the Ala Carte line for each station including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Plate and garnish all cooked foods to specifications to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Carve meats and/or prepare omelets on buffet line.
  • Work all stations on a rotation basis and keep an open line of communication with other line team members and culinary management.
  • Create a positive guest experience. Be helpful and friendly to all internal and external guests.
  • Execute all food production as determined identified on production sheets.
  • Wear plastic gloves, proper uniform, including hat, and use only clean kitchen towels.
  • Prepare the proper amounts of food as requested by management.
  • Handle any special request made by the Chef or external guest.
  • Maintain food quality specifications as determined by the standard recipe.
  • Maintain a waste free department by controlling production and utilizing returned food.
  • Ensure cleanliness of your immediate work area and the process walk-in-cooler.
  • Rotate all products to ensure fresh products at all times.
  • Maintain established par levels and ensure stations are stocked at all times.
