About The Position

Oak Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living is hiring experienced Line Cooks for full-time opportunities. Line Cooks contribute to the community’s Signature Dining Programs through à la minute cooking and preparation of chef-inspired dishes. The role focuses on preparing meals safely and consistently, ensuring accurate portions and appealing presentation, and maintaining a clean, sanitized kitchen and workstation. The job fair is scheduled for November 2, from 1:00–3:00 PM, at Oak Crest Village; screening and interviews are scheduled in advance, and walk-ins are not accepted. The posting lists compensation of $20.50–$26.50 per hour, commensurate with experience, and a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of cook-to-order experience.
• Ability to work some weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot kitchens and cold refrigerators and freezers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and menu items consistently, following proper safety and cooking techniques.
• Ensure meals are accurately portioned and plated and meet temperature and presentation standards.
• Use culinary skills to create high-quality dishes that enhance resident satisfaction.
• Keep the kitchen and workstation clean and sanitized at all times.
