About The Position

Oak Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living is seeking experienced cooks for full-time Line Cook opportunities. The Line Cook contributes to the community’s Signature Dining Programs through à la minute cooking and preparation of chef-inspired dishes. The role involves preparing meals and menu items using proper safety and cooking techniques, and ensuring accurate portioning, plating, temperature, and presentation to support resident satisfaction. The kitchen and workstation must be kept clean and sanitized. Candidates are invited to interview at the November 2 job fair; participants will be contacted for an initial screening beforehand, and interviews will be scheduled in advance. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of cook-to-order experience.
• Must be able to work some weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot kitchens and cold refrigerators and freezers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and menu items consistently using proper safety and cooking techniques.
• Ensure accurate portioning, plating, temperature, and presentation of meals.
• Use culinary skills to create high-quality dishes that enhance resident satisfaction.
• Keep the kitchen and workstation clean and sanitized at all times.
