About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Line Cook for its Cinco Ninos restaurant. The role assists the restaurant Chef with preparing and completing food items. The Line Cook prepares high-quality, flavorful meals consistently while contributing to a satisfying and memorable guest dining experience and supporting the company’s promise to Lead with Love.

Requirements

One year of related progressive experience as a culinary graduate and/or at least one year of progressive culinary experience in a hotel restaurant, food outlet facility, or related field is helpful.
A state- or locally required certificate upon completion of state-certified proper food-handling certification may be required by law.
Knowledge of kitchen equipment, including flat grill, pasta well, steam table, browning oven, cheese chopper/grater, steam jacket, ovens, top burners, pizza and dessert cooler, slicer, broiler, steamer, and knives.
Ability to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively.

Nice To Haves

ServSafe® certification is a plus.
Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food and beverage products consistently according to facility recipes and standards for portioning, cooking, timing, serving, and presentation.
Keep equipment clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following culinary preventative maintenance programs.
Understand and comply with federal, state, county, and municipal regulations concerning health, safety, and labor requirements in kitchen areas.
