About The Position

Creative Dining Services is hiring a Line Cook at the Wings (formerly ENT) Credit Union headquarters in North Colorado Springs, Colorado. The role focuses on preparing and distributing food in a cafeteria setting and providing fast, efficient service. The Line Cook follows company procedures and policies, including portion control and plating procedures, while maintaining a friendly and helpful attitude toward customers and fellow employees. The stated availability is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with no late nights or weekends. The work environment may include hot, humid, or cold conditions, and the role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of cooking experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
A team-oriented attitude and willingness to support other kitchen employees in performing essential kitchen functions.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Prepare food according to established recipes and menus while preserving freshness, quality, and appeal.
Use batch-cooking techniques to avoid overproduction or underproduction.
Prepare made-to-order dishes at the line, Grill, or Deli stations.
Maintain logs for food, cooling, cooler, and freezer temperatures.
Monitor kitchen equipment and promptly report discrepancies to a supervisor.
When required by the shift, open or close the kitchen, including securing areas and turning equipment on or off.
Hold prepared food at appropriate temperatures: below 40°F for cold food and above 135°F for hot food.
Store food according to established standards, using proper labeling and dating.
Communicate food production and kitchen-operation needs and concerns to a supervisor in a timely manner.
Provide fast, efficient, friendly service to customers and support fellow kitchen employees.
