About The Position

Responsible for precisely and consistently preparing food orders by following recipes and instructions. This role involves safely preparing foods, performing prep work, cooking and plating food, sanitizing the kitchen to resort standards, keeping the workstation neat and sanitized, and dishwashing. Line Cook III's will use knives, ovens, grills, warming trays, and other cooking instruments in accordance with culinary standards and safe operation.

Requirements

  • 6 months of Cook or Culinary experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club required.
  • Basic knife skills.
  • Able to prepare soups and sauces.
  • Know how to properly weigh and measure product.
  • Knowledge of proper seasoning.
  • How to prepare food on a flat top with sauté pan, over open flame and with a broiler.
  • Must have or be able to attain a valid foodhandlers card for West Virginia.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally in basic English.

  • Employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but need not include passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker).
  • Employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law.
  • The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
  • Transportation and subsistence costs from the place from which the worker has to travel, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment will be provided to the worker by check if the worker completes 50% of the period of employment.
  • Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable cost of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.
  • Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day (without receipts) up to a maximum of $68 per day (with receipts), consistent with 20 CFR.20(j)(1)(i) and 20 CFR 655.20(j)(1)(ii).
  • The employer will provide to the worker, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned in accordance with 20 CFR 655.20(k).
