About The Position

Davey Utility Line Clearance is hiring a Groundperson to support crews servicing Northwestern Ohio, including the Findlay-to-Bowling Green region and surrounding areas. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site hourly position. Compensation is based on qualifications and experience, with a stated hourly range of $20–$22 depending on experience and/or CDL status. Travel expectations are up to 25%.

Requirements

A driver's license is required.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Commercial driver's license preferred; it may be required depending on job requirements.
Pesticide license if required by state law.
Herbicide license is a plus.
Line clearance certification when working near utility transmission lines.
ISA Certified Tree Worker certification, or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

Support other crew members by controlling lowering ropes, limbs, and people working aloft.
Supply tools to tree workers.
Control road and sidewalk traffic using warning devices and other methods as needed.
Cut, chip, and load brush and wood, and clean up the job site.
