About The Position

Davey Utility Line Clearance is hiring an experienced Line Clearance Groundperson to support a crew servicing Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, with additional locations in Hudson, Ohio. This is an onsite, permanent, full-time hourly position. Compensation starts at $18.00 per hour and is based on qualifications and experience; a performance incentive plan is offered. Travel expectations are up to 25%.

Requirements

Driver’s license required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Commercial driver’s license preferred and may be required depending on job requirements.
Pesticide license if required by state law.
ISA Certified Tree Worker certification, or willingness to obtain it.

Nice To Haves

Herbicide license.
Line clearance certification when working near utility transmission lines.
Commercial driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Support crew members by controlling lowering ropes, limbs, and people working aloft.
Supply tools to tree workers.
Control road and sidewalk traffic using warning devices and other methods as needed.
Cut, chip, and load brush and wood, and clean up the job site.
