About The Position

The Limited Radiologic Technologist prepares for and performs standard x-ray examinations using proper technique and positioning according to provider orders. The role includes preparing patients for exams, updating medical records, using x-ray equipment, and notifying the imaging supervisor of equipment issues. Additional back-office duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Limited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Current state Limited Radiologic Technologist (LXMO) licensure with Spine, Extremities, and Chest Modules.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Experience positioning patients and x-ray equipment to achieve the desired diagnostic image.
• Knowledge and experience with appropriate shielding protocols.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Limited Radiologic Technologist experience.
• Experience performing Medical Assistant duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations.
• Perform standard x-ray examinations using proper technique and positioning according to provider orders.
• Operate radiologic equipment according to prescribed safety standards.
• Select the length and intensity of radiation exposure based on the patient or examination specifications.
• Use CR and DR systems.
• Examine images for density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
• Send and store images.
• Update medical records.
• Notify the imaging supervisor of equipment issues.
• Perform additional back-office duties and other duties as assigned.
