Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT)
About The Position
Memorial Hermann and GoHealth Urgent Care partner to operate urgent care centers across the Greater Houston area. GoHealth Urgent Care focuses on patient needs through an effortless patient experience, a welcoming culture of care, and integration with health systems and communities. The Medical Assistant Limited X-Ray (LMRT) Float supports medical providers, radiologic technologists, and patients through tasks involving patient care management, organization, and communication. The role performs limited-capacity X-rays and reports results to medical providers. Activities must be completed accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner while supporting the organization’s vision and core values of Collaboration, Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion, Integrity, and Accountability. The hourly rate is $21.50–$29.50. A monthly incentive bonus is based on performance metrics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Social perceptiveness and a service-oriented approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant experience.
- Experience performing X-rays.
- One of the following Medical Assistant certifications in addition to LMRT: CCMA (NHA), CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or NRCMA (National Association for Health Professionals).
Responsibilities
- Support medical providers, radiologic technologists, and patients through patient care management, organization, and communication.
- Perform limited-capacity X-rays for patients.
