About The Position
Memorial Hermann and GoHealth Urgent Care have partnered to operate urgent care centers across the Greater Houston area. GoHealth Urgent Care focuses on an effortless patient experience, a welcoming culture of care, and integration with health systems and communities. Working collaboratively, the Medical Assistant supports Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and patients through patient care management, organization, and communication. The role performs limited-capacity X-rays and reports results to Medical Providers. Activities must be completed accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner, in support of the organization’s vision and core values of Collaboration, Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion, Integrity, and Accountability. The listed hourly rate is $21.50–$29.50, with a monthly incentive bonus based on performance metrics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of a Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire.
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
- Time-management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Social perceptiveness and a service-oriented approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant experience.
- Experience performing X-rays.
- One of the following certifications in addition to LMRT: CCMA (verified through NHA), CMA (verified through AAMA), RMA (verified through AMT), NCMA (verified through NCCT), or NRCMA (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals).
Responsibilities
- Support Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and patients through patient care management, organization, and communication.
- Perform limited-capacity X-rays for patients.
- Report X-ray results to Medical Providers.
- Complete activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.
